Who is this Jesus?
This article is written to introduce Jesus to those who don't know him. Jesus is the Son of God (Mark1:1) sent to this world to save human soul from perishing. He is God incarnate. He is also known as God the son. He came to this world and was crucified some 2012 years ago.
What Has Jesus Come To Do For Us?
Looking at ourselves, we see that we all have some wrongdoings. We are not perfect. We are not free from sins and iniquities. The bible justifies this by saying “all have sinned and come short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23 KJV). From that scripture, we see that no one can stand before God; we are not worthy, because God is holy and it is only those who are holy that can stand before him. But Jesus has come to make us just before God: He has come to forgive us of our sins and wrongdoings. Beyond that, Jesus has also come to show and lead us on the way of truth (John 14:6). He has come to deliver us from the wrath of God. The scripture says “for the wages of sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord” (Romans 6:23). Jesus has come to deliver us from eternal death. He has come to protect and bless us. In fact, his plan for humanity cannot be overemphasized.
What Is Our Response Suppose To Be?
Well, Jesus has provided a pathway for us to escape the eternal consequences of our sins. It is a free escape route from the wrath of God that will soon come upon the world. So, all we need to do is to humbly come to Him and accept His offer of salvation. To come to Him, we need to depart from our former ways of life (Ephesians 4:22-32): the life that is full of hatred, fornications, lies, anger, backbiting and all manner of sins. We know that it’s not easy to do this, but Jesus can help if we pray or ask for his help.
What If I Choose Not To Accept This Jesus?
Accepting Jesus is a matter of choice: choice between eternal death and life because there is no other God that can save (Acts 4:12). This is what the bible says about not accepting Jesus:
“For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God”(John 3 :17-18 ESV)
It is my prayer that God will give
you the grace of accepting Jesus into your life. Jesus is set to do great things your life if you accept him today.
Okay, I Want To Accept Jesus. I Have Made Up My Mind.
Thank you for coming to him who is the only Saviour of the world. Please read this and pray:
“if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved”(Romans 10:9-10 ESV)
