“Surely the Lord GOD will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets” (Amos 3:7)Divine
visions are dreams and revelations that come from God. God sometimes
opens the eyes of his beloved children to see the invisible (Job
4:12-17) and keep them abreast of coming events. The power to see beyond
the physical is gift that every Christian should crave for; and not
just craved for, but earnestly prayed for (2Kings 6:17, Jeremiah 33:3).
There
are benefits associated with divine visions. First, when you are able
to see the invisible, it may enable you to uncover your enemies
(particularly those who pretend to be your friends). Knowing your
enemies gives you the ability to deal with them with wisdom. I use to
have many friends in the past, but when God begin to reveal the through
nature of some of them to me, I withdrew myself from them immediately.
Second,
through divine visions, God may open your eyes to see your angelic
bodyguard thereby giving you assurance of safety in unsafe situation. In
2Kings 6:14-17 Elisha and his servant were surrounded by the enemy and
his servant was afraid because he could not see into the spiritual.
Elisha prayed that God should open his eyes and when his eyes were
opened, he saw Elisha’s divine bodyguard and his fear disappeared.
Divine visions can allay your fears when others are jittery of impending
danger.
Beloved, God is ever ready to give us divine visions but
he needs our attention for first. God will not bother showing us
anything when we are inattentive. Visions usually come when we dedicated
time for fasting and prayers. I have benefited from divine visions and
revelations many times but many of them usually come during or
immediately after waiting on the Lord through fasting. Ask God to show
you divine secrets.
Are you saved?
The
first step towards receiving divine visions is total submission to
Christ Jesus. If you are not a child of God, you can’t receive divine
visions from God. Today you can choose to accept Most High God as your
maker by accepting Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour. If you are
ready to follow Jesus please say this short prayer.Image by: freedigitalphotos.net
