How to receive the peace of God

Peace
in the form of perfect calm and serenity comes from God and God alone.
The peace of God does not necessary mean the absence of trouble but the
presence of inner joy and happiness. If your heart is troubled and it
seems as if you have lost your peace of mind, all you need is the
intervention of The Prince of Peace (Isaiah 9:6-7). Jesus is the Prince
of Peace. A few instructions from His word will calm the turbulent ocean
of your heart and restore your peace of mind.
Repent of sins that causes your heart to trouble
If
as a Christian, you backslide and turn away from God, you may lose your
peace. The solution is simple: repent of your sins and reconcile with
God, your maker (Job 22:21). If you do this, the scripture pointed out
that, not only will you have peace but good things will follow you as
well.
Love the law of the Lord (Psalm 119:165, Proverbs 3:1-2)
One
of the best ways to receive peace of God is to love the word of God and
do what it says. Meditate on the word of God, trust in what it says and
apply them to every situation of your life. The blessing that comes
with this is not only the peace of God but with added prosperity (Joshua
1:8-9).
Pray
Ask God to heal your
anxiety and bless you with peace. Jesus blessed his disciples with peace
(John 14:27). As a child of God, the peace of Jesus Christ is one of
your rightful inheritances. If you are troubled in heart, call on God in
prayer and he will bless you with peace. Psalm 29:11 clarifies this by
saying
“The LORD will give strength unto his people; the LORD will bless his people with peace.”
“The LORD will give strength unto his people; the LORD will bless his people with peace.”
Abhor wickedness
Finally,
be sure you are not one of those who God regarded as the wicked: The
scripture says “there is no peace for the wicked (Isaiah 48:22)”. The
wicked comprises of people like fornicators, adulterers, liars,
murderers, backbiters, idolaters, haters of God etc. God has vowed that
those in this group will not receive his peace, instead eternal
condemnation and destruction awaits them (Job 21:30).
Salvation First!
Those who God will bless with peace are his people (i.e. the righteous not to sinners. Psalm 29:11). If you are hungry for the peace of God, then reconcile with Him today by accepting Jesus as your Lord and Saviour. If you are ready, please say this short prayer of salvation and be born again today.
If you have given your life to Christ, you can go ahead and make the PRAYER FOR PEACE OF MIND your companion.
Thanks and God bless.
